Piezography

An exceptional black and white print

Piezography PRO black and white prints, made by the MikeMuka studio, specialists in high-end black and white.

Piezography PRO

Classic Piezography, with carbon inks made from charcoal pigments, already produced black and white prints of the highest standard. Today, Piezography Pro with split toning offers a truly personal print for every artist.

Piezography Pro uses 10 inks and a gloss overcoat: 4 warm-toned inks, 4 cool-toned inks, a matte black and a photo black. Prints are therefore made from 9 monochrome inks. The process gives glossy prints with the finest detail, matte prints rich in nuance, variable tones and smooth gradations without banding.

With the best dMax (black density) on the market, maximum resolution, visually balanced toning options and even gloss, Piezography is a highly flexible monochrome printing system for the most demanding artists and photographers.

No metamerism

Made from pure monochrome pigments, these inks show no metamerism: with conventional inkjet prints, a print looks redder or greener depending on the colour temperature of the light.

All our prints are available on Fine Art paper.

Split toning

A major advantage of the Pro system is the ability to build custom curves, adding cool or warm tones at different levels of the brightness curve.

For example: cool tones in the highlights, neutral in the midtones and warm in the shadows. The possibilities are endless.

150 years of permanence

Carbon inks made from charcoal pigments last far longer than traditional inkjet prints: around 150 years.
